Privacy Policy
SharpPick · Updated September 22, 2026 · Effective May 1, 2026
SharpPick ("we"), operated by Sharp Signal Labs, provides sports odds information and analysis. We do not take or broker bets. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.
1. What we collect
- When you sign in (Google or Kakao): email address and nickname. This first sign-in creates your SharpPick account.
- Automatically: a device identifier, a push notification token, app language and time zone settings, app version and OS version, and records of app use needed to run the service.
- Subscriptions: whether your Google Play subscription is active (via RevenueCat). We never receive your card or bank details — Google Play handles payment.
- My Bets entries stay on your device only and are never uploaded.
2. Why we use it (and the legal basis in the UK/EU)
- To create and run your account and deliver picks, alerts and the record (contract).
- To check and manage subscriptions (contract).
- To send push alerts, if you allow notifications (consent — you can turn them off in your phone settings).
- To prevent abuse and keep the service secure (legitimate interests).
- Usage statistics, only where enabled and, in the UK/EU, only if you choose Allow (consent) — see section 7.
3. How long we keep it
- Until you delete your account. We then delete it without delay.
- Where a law requires longer (for example, payment records for 5 years under the Korean E-Commerce Act), we keep only what that law requires.
4. Sharing
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
- We disclose it only when the law requires.
5. Service providers (processors)
- Supabase — sign-in and data storage
- Google — Google Play billing; Firebase push notifications and, when enabled, usage statistics
- RevenueCat — subscription status
- Vercel — API hosting
6. International transfers
Our service providers are based in the United States and may process data there or in other countries, over encrypted connections, only for the purposes above. Where UK/EU law applies, they rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
7. Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
- What: screens opened and buttons tapped, an app-instance identifier, device model, OS version and approximate region. No name, email or payment details; the advertising ID is not used.
- Why: to learn which screens are used so we can improve the app. Never used for advertising.
- Choice: in the UK and the EU nothing is collected unless you choose Allow. Anywhere, you can turn it off in More → Usage statistics.
- Kept by Google for up to 14 months.
8. Security
- All connections are encrypted (HTTPS), and access to data is limited to what running the service needs.
- We never store passwords — sign-in is handled by Google or Kakao.
9. Children
SharpPick is for adults only (18+, or the legal age where you live if higher). It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If we learn that we have, we delete it.
10. Your rights
- You can ask to access, correct, delete or export your data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time.
- UK/EU users may also complain to their data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
- US users (including California residents) have the right to know, correct and delete their personal information, and we will not treat you differently for using these rights. We do not sell or share personal information.
- To use these rights, email us (section 12). You can also delete your account in the app.
11. Deleting your account
- In the app: More → Delete account. Your account and data are erased immediately.
- Or email us from your account's address and we will delete it.
- A Google Play subscription is not cancelled by deleting your account — cancel it in Google Play → Subscriptions first.
12. Contact
- Sharp Signal Labs (operator of SharpPick; the controller of your personal information)
- Email: [email protected]
13. Revision history
- May 1, 2026: effective (in-app policy)
- July 13, 2026: published on the web
- September 11, 2026: removed the free-trial wording after the free trial ended
- September 22, 2026: added usage statistics, international transfers, children, your rights (UK/EU and US) and account deletion; listed Firebase and RevenueCat as processors
We will announce any changes to this policy in the app and on our website.
